acer收購acer has a new version of its Swift 5 laptop, and it appears to be the first announced laptop powered by one of Intel’s upcoming 11th Gen processors, featuring the chipmaker’s new integrated Xe graphics.
While
acer收購acer isn’t providing too much detail, the shift from the current Gen11 integrated graphics in Intel’s 10th Gen Ice Lake chips to Xe is expected to be a big one: at CES 2020, Intel promised that the Xe architecture would offer double the graphics performance compared to Gen11 graphics. The Xe graphics architecture is also what powers Intel’s planned discrete GPUs. For those who prefer a little more power, the Swift 5 will also offer an optional discrete Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU.

The new Swift 5 isn’t just interesting for its new processors, though:
acer收購acer is also cutting down on the bezels even further, offering a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio (up from 86.4 percent screen-to-body ratio on the old model), although that panel is still a 14-inch FHD display.
The port selection is similar, too: HDMI, two USB-A ports, a USB-C Thunderbolt port, and a headphone jack.

全球 PC 市場蕭條，Intel 向外媒證實，將不再直接投資 NUC「迷你電腦」，轉與其他生態系夥伴攜手合作，旗下自有品牌的「迷你電腦」將走入歷史。
外媒《ServetheHome》報導，Intel 證實將停止對於 NUC 業務的直接投資，會調整戰略，改與生態系統夥伴合作創新。同時也強調，現有的產品將會持續支援。外媒認為，有鑑於全球 PC 市場持續低迷，已經連續六季出貨量下探，Intel 或許是在精簡業務，專心於晶片生產。
消息一出，不少人對於 NUC 的終結感到惋惜。Intel 在 2013 年首度推出 NUC「迷你電腦」系列，在非常稍大於 Mac mini 的小巧主機，保留諸多電腦 DIY 的升級元素，某些型號更能支援 RTX 3080 Ti 等全尺寸顯示卡，讓消費者可以獲得一款不佔空間、效能又強大的迷你電腦。
外媒《Engadget》分析，NUC 存在的意義已經不像 10 年前一樣強烈，由於緊湊的機殼使 GPU、CPU 散熱是一大考驗，另外蘋果 Mac mini 還有華擎、Dell 與聯想等對手，都加劇了市場競爭。
